Review & Update
Anzeige/Ad | A long time ago I introduced you the Sonicare DiamondClean toothbrush from Philips. At that time I was already incredibly impressed and enthusiastic about the change from manual to automatic. With the 62,000 brush head movements per minute, you just get a lot more dirt and deposits removed than with a manual toothbrush.
Accordingly, I have not left it out of my routine – until about 4 months ago. Because at that point I upgraded to the Smart version of it.
With the Smart version the various cleaning programs are upgraded and changed to Clean, White+, Gum Health, Deep Clean+ and Tongue Care. Furthermore, there are now three levels of intensity: High, Medium and Low. The Smart version also comes with several different brush heads, which are just as easy to remove and replace: 1 C3 Premium Plaque Defense, 1 G3 Premium Gum Care, 1 W3 Premium White, 1 TongueCare+ tongue brush. So you can decide in a matter of minutes what you need and what helps you best.
Furthermore, the package also includes a loading glass, which enables wireless loading.
While we’re already thematizing batteries and recharging, the travel case is of course a must-have as well. The premium travel case also enables quick and easy loading on the go. So as long as you have a USB-compatible cable, you absolutely don’t have to worry at all.
Regarding the battery life it should also be mentioned that the Smart version is about 1 week „weaker“ and therefore offers about 2 weeks of activity until it needs to be recharged. For me personally this „loss“ of about one week battery life does not matter at all, since I always charge the toothbrush at home after using it. While travelling, as already mentioned above, I always have the case with me. In other words, it is always supplied with electricity.
But now the point, which in my opinion has the biggest impact – the App (compatible with Android, as well as iOS devices). With the Sonicare App you have the possibility to connect the toothbrush and therefore use it much more smarter and better. You have your own profile, where you always get personalized feedback and coaching. This guarantees, with correct conversion, a comprehensive tooth cleaning. This is further supported by the 3D map (with the help of sensor technology) of the mouth, which highlights particular problem areas and provides tips & tricks.
Apart from the app, there is also another function on the toothbrush itself that can prevent problems when brushing – the pressure control. This avoids too much pressure, as the handpiece vibrates and the lower ring shines in a purple color.
Overall is to say: I am very happy that I made this upgrade. The Smart version keeps all the standards and just adds more features like the App. I can more than recommend it from my side. Also for newcomers!
